The Ken Aston Cup is coming to the National Games 2014. This annual refereeing event allows referees from different AYSO Sections to engage in friendly competition with other referees, while receiving feedback from experienced referee evaluators.
Each year the Cup rotates between Sections 1, 10 and 11. This year's tournament will be hosted by Section 1 in Torrance on July 4-5, during the National Games event.
The competition will take place in two divisions at the National Games: Advanced and Excellence. The Advanced Division is open to referees with a certification level of Advanced, Intermediate or Regional (i.e. no National Referees). The Excellence Division is open to volunteers with any referee certification level, including but not limited to National Referee.

This competition was named after Ken Aston, an AYSO Hall of Famer who revolutionized officiating in soccer and is famous for inventing the red and yellow cards. To watch an interview with Ken Aston and to browse a photo gallery, click here.
