I'm pleased to announce that Wells L. Frice has been appointed by the NBOD to complete the unexpired term of Mike Hoyer, who was recently named AYSO's Deputy Executive Director and therefore, had to resign from the NBOD.
Wells is a NBOD member elected to a one year term in 2012. Prior to his board term, Wells was the Section 6 Director for six years.
Wells is an advanced management instructor, intermediate coach, coach instructor, advanced referee instructor and advanced referee. Wells was also an assistant venue director at the 2006 AYSO National Games in Chicago.
He has served in a number of Area and Region positions. He's a 38 year AYSO volunteer and helped found Region 372 in Mundelein, Ill.
Wells is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charter holder and a Managing Director/Senior Portfolio Manager at Great Lakes Advisors (GLA), a $7 billion investment management firm. He's a member of the Investment Management Committee and Chair of the Proxy Committee at GLA. He's primarily involved in the evaluation and selection of large firm equities for the firm’s Large Capital Value Equity product and client relationships. Wells is also an elected member of the Mundelein Elementary School District 75 Board of Education for nearly 20 years.
Wells and his wife, Teri, also a former AYSO NBOD member and current volunteer, reside in Mundelein, Ill. They have three children and seven grandchildren, two of whom are recent AYSO players.
