Requirements for AYSO National Games 2016 Volunteers

AYSO would like to remind all coaches, referees and volunteers of the requirements needed to participate in next summer’s AYSO National Games in Palm Beach, Fla. As you sign up to volunteer, review the below registration and certification requirements. 

All AYSO coaches and assistant coaches who wish to coach at the National Games must:

1. Be a registered volunteer in the AYSO Player and Volunteer Member Registration System for the current membership year. 
2. Have the new AYSO Safe Haven® certification. Click here to access AYSO Training. 
3. Have completed CDC concussion awareness training. Click here to access AYSO Training. 
4. Be trained per the National Coaching Program guidelines at the age/skill level of the team they wish to coach. Training must be completed and verified in the AYSO Player and Volunteer Member Registration System by March 1, 2016.

Here are the required certifications for each of the age levels: 

Division  Minimum Required Certification 
U-10 U-10 Coach 
U-12 U-12 Coach 
U-14 Intermediate Coach 
U-16 & U-19 Advanced Coach 

All certified referees who wish to referee at the National Games must:
