On June 12, 28 Regional Commissioners (RC) from all over the U.S. gathered at Marysville College in Knoxville, Tenn., for the second ever offsite RC Training. For two and half days, RCs participated in hands-on, interactive work sessions that covered managing and recruiting volunteers, building a budget, conducting local marketing, attracting sponsors, handling difficult people, sparking growth and much more. Over 500 RCs nationwide have graduated from the program.
This year's offsite RC Training was attended by RCs of all experience levels. 15-year RC veteran Rose Arsenault from Region 345 in West Palm Beach, Fla., learned new tricks alongside newbies Bonnie McFarland (Region 1517) and Eric Wright (Region 335), who've been in the role for less than two weeks!
The next opportunity to experience the camaraderie, in depth discussion and valuable lessons that RC Training offers will be on Nov. 13-15, 2015, at the AYSO National Office in Torrance, Calif.
