At the 2015 NAGM, Executive Members got the chance to see a sneak peek of the FOX Sports produced “AYSO: The World’s Biggest Soccer Club” video. The video was presented by Chris Hannan, FOX Sports Executive Vice President of Communications and Integration and was met with loud cheers from the excited crowd. The video helps illustrate the unique national nature of AYSO that brings together nearly 900 community programs as a single club with a common vision of developing world class soccer programs that enrich children’s lives.
AYSO was established in the Los Angeles area in 1964 with nine teams. It was the dream of a group of devoted soccer enthusiasts who started the organization in a garage. Today, AYSO has 50,000 teams, approximately 500,000 players and is made possible by over 125,000 passionate volunteers.
