Scott D. Gimple
Senior Director of Finance and Operations
Scott Gimple has rejoined the AYSO National Office team after taking an 18 month hiatus to assist a small security company in northern California. Previously Scott was a part of the AYSO National team; starting as the Event Manager in 2006 and leaving AYSO in 2015 as the Deputy Executive Director.
Prior to AYSO, Scott spent 16 years in the entertainment industry as the Corporate Security Manager for Universal Studios Hollywood, Recreation Division and the Head of Security, Safety and Travel for DreamWorks S.K.G. Scott was responsible for the security and safety operations for the theme park and outdoor shopping center, providing leadership and strategic planning related to all events, concerts, premiers and day-to-day operations.
During his time at with DreamWorks, Scott developed, hired, organized and provided leadership to the staff of the corporate Travel, Safety and Security departments. While working in the entertainment industry, he solidified his expertise in developing and implementing company-wide disaster and emergency response plans, international travel security details for high-profile executives, and systems and policies to address security threats to company facilities and executives.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Arizona and a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Pepperdine University.
Scott has been a volunteer with AYSO since 1994 when he coached a U6 team in Santa Clarita, Calif. He has since become an AYSO National Coach, an Intermediate Referee and has coached teams from VIP to All-Stars.
