Director Of Development, Events & Camps
Scott Gimple joined AYSO in 2006 after having spent five years as the Manager of Corporate Security for the Recreation Group of Universal Studios, Hollywood. Scott is currently the Director of Development, Events and Camps, where he develops new Regions in an effort to expand AYSO, plans and implements events, such as the Section Conferences, and oversees AYSO Soccer Camps.
At Universal Studios, Scott was responsible for a security department of approximately 250 security team members that had contact with as many as 40,000 guests visiting Universal Studios, Hollywood.
Prior to Universal, Scott was the head of Security, Travel, Corporate Safety and Emergency Services for DreamWorks, S.K.G. He joined DreamWorks in 1998, shortly after the company was founded, and developed four departments from the ground up.
Scott graduated from the University of Arizona in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and a minor in business. He earned his M.B.A. with an emphasis in finance in 2005 from the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University.
Scott has been active in all sports his entire life, and has been an avid soccer player and fan from age four when he played in the Almaden Valley in Northern California.
