AYSO Alum Landon Donovan Gets Award Presented by Pelé

AYSO joined 4,000 soccer coaches and 10,000 attendees at the annual National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Convention Jan. 14-18 in Philadelphia, Pa. The convention is the largest annual gathering of soccer coaches in the world and featured live field demonstrations, lecture sessions, networking opportunities and much more.

AYSO was able to educate hundreds of visitors about the AYSO Mission, Philosophies and what makes our National Coaching Program uniquely different.

At the Awards Banquet, AYSO was honored that AYSO alum Landon Donovan received the “Presidential Recognition Award” from none other than Pelé (video above). Later in the night, AYSO gave out the “Robert W. Robinson High School Long Term Service Award.” This year’s award went to Don Brock of Boston, Mass. who coached high school soccer for over 50 years.
