AYSO's Executive Members, national sponsors, staff and special guests gathered tonight for "Once in a Lifetime," a 50th Anniversary Gala.
The night was filled with memorable moments, among those were the speeches by Master of Ceremonies Bob Eubanks, and special guest speaker Cobi Jones.
Bob Eubanks, an illustrious broadcaster and AYSO dad, kicked off the evening with a funny and heartfelt address to the audience.
"My son started playing soccer in AYSO and it's an integral part of his life," shared Bob. "All that matters is the kids that you all work with all the time. Keep doing what you're doing."
Cobi Jones, former U.S. Men's National team member, AYSO alum and future AYSO dad, also had inspiring words for the crowd, as he recounted his days in AYSO and thanked AYSO volunteers for their dedication and commitment.
"50 years, that is some thing special. Everything you do as volunteers is what this is all about," said Cobi. "I don't know if you realize how important it is, what you do."
A video detailing AYSO's 50-year history was also shown at the gala, giving the crowd a sense of how far our organization has come in the past decades. Watch AYSO's historical timeline video here.
