AYSO Executive Members have reelected Mark Stewart as AYSO's National President during the National Annual General Meeting in Phoenix, Ariz.
Stewart has been an AYSO volunteer for over 30 years and served as a member of the National Board of Directors (NBOD) for nearly a decade. He served as AYSO's Vice President from 2006 to 2014 and has been President for the past year. He got his start in AYSO in Region 100 in Kailua, Hawaii and has since held many positions, including Regional Safety Director, Regional Commissioner, Area Director, Section Director and more.
Stewart's reelection came after a nomination from the floor of newly elected NBOD member Janet Braun. Both candidates made statements to the membership and then there was a period of questions to the candidates from the floor. A ballot vote was taken to achieve the final result.
