President’s Circle to Honor Region Growth

mark stewart, national president

For the fourth year, the President’s Circle will recognize and salute AYSO Regions that have not only met, but exceeded the AYSO commitment of Bringing More Soccer to More Kids™. It’s open to all AYSO Regions – small, large, rural, urban, suburban, affluent and of modest means – that through volunteer leadership have delivered the AYSO experience to a greater number of families.

The President’s Circle honors Regions that have grown their player registration over two consecutive years (through April 30, 2015) with a minimum of 25 percent or 75 players in cumulative growth. Those Regions that play only Spring/Summer are included with their May 1-June 30 registration from the previous Membership Year added in to give a full two years.

No application is necessary for the President’s Circle as all information is calculated from player registration records in eAYSO.

Even for Regions that have not met the numerical criteria, there is an opportunity for those that have persevered in the face of a significant challenge to grow and improve their Regions. These special nominations must be submitted in 300 words or less no later than April 17, 2015.

To submit your nominations, email Pete MacPhail. Members of the President’s Circle must re-qualify each year.

While every AYSO Region faces its own unique opportunities and challenges, our vision is the same: to provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives. The President’s Circle honors those AYSO Regions that are delivering on that vision in special ways. They will be announced in the AYSO Insider, recognized at the AYSO National Annual General Meeting being held May 22-24 in Phoenix, Ariz. and identified by a gold ribbon on their NAGM name badges.
