The 2015 Women's World Cup will receive unprecedented coverage on Fox as it will air 16 games from Canada next year, including one semifinal and the final. The 16 games are more than any network has ever committed to coverage of a men's World Cup and are double the number of games that have appeared on network television in the first six editions of the women's tournament.
Fox Sports is making a statement of his commitment to soccer as it begins its eight-year run as the FIFA rights-holder. All 52 matches for the expanded tournament will air on Fox, Fox Sports 1 (30 matches) or Fox Sports 2 (six matches).
Including shoulder programming -- pregame, postgame and complementary programming -- Fox Sports plans to offer almost 200 hours of coverage from the 2015 Women’s World Cup, averaging between six and seven hours a day over the month-long tournament that begins June 6.
