AYSO Renews Partnership With Cuties

Clementines Become Official Fruit of AYSO

Hawthorne, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2009)  - ”The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) has renewed its sponsorship with Cuties California Clementines as an "Official Fruit of AYSO."

"Cuties is thrilled to partner with AYSO for the second year - and bring two members to the - team' this season - Olympic soccer player Joy Fawcett and non-profit advocate Positive Coaching Alliance," said Ashley Martorana, Director of Marketing for Paramount Citrus. "As Cuties meets moms at the AYSO events, we'll bring more than simply deliciously healthy snacks, but rich food for thought about how to extend the life lessons sports can teach beyond the soccer field." 

Cuties is developing an Ultimate Soccer Mom Contest featuring former U.S. Women's National Team star Joy Fawcett. Further details will soon be available on the contest and a national coupon program.
Cuties will also have an on-site presence at a variety of AYSO winter tournaments and game days including:

  • Region 73: Game Day in Bakersfield, Calif. (Nov. 7, 2009)
  • Section 10: VIP Tournament in Camarillo, Calif. (Nov. 8, 2009)
  • Region 508: Tournament in Wickenburg, Ariz. (Nov. 14, 2009)
  • Region 26: U-12/U-14 Regional Tournament in Palo Alto, Calif. (Nov. 21, 2009)
  • Region 85: Soccerfest in Lake Forrest, Calif. (Dec. 12, 2009)

They will offer free fruit samples, coupons and games for kids, including the Cuties Peeling Contest and Cuties Kick Competition.

"AYSO is excited to continue its partnership with Cuties," said Lynn Berling-Manuel, AYSO Chief Marketing Officer. "As an organization we have always advocated that smart food choices are a critical part of living a healthy, active lifestyle, and Cuties is a perfect fit."

Cuties brand clementines are sold through major supermarkets and specialty food stores.
