Dimitris Buterakos, 11, from Torrance, Calif., won the Herbalife Shake It Up contest with his "Herbalife Super Soccer Shake" during the 2010 AYSO National Games player celebration carnival yesterday in West Palm Beach, Fla. Buterakos, along with the two other finalists, Aiden Camisa, 6, and Brady McDougal, 12, were flown to West Palm Beach by Herbalife and made their shakes on stage. A panel of five judges did a "blind" taste test to pick the winner.
"This is my favorite Herbalife shake because it's healthy, easy to make, delicious, and it gives me a lot of energy before a game," Buterakos explained in his winning entry. "The vitamins and minerals in the shake mix and the fruit, combined with the calcium from the milk, really make this shake healthy and tasty--and gives me the boost of energy I need on the soccer field!"
Buterakos also won a road trip to see the LA Galaxy play the Philadelphia Union in Philadelphia on Oct. 7.
