All tournaments sponsored by an AYSO program or with which the AYSO name is associated must comply with the letter and spirit of the AYSO Tournament Guidelines.
All tournaments, excluding regular season and all star playoffs, which involve teams from more than one Region within the Area, must have prior written approval of the Area Director; all tournaments which involve teams from more than one Area within the Section, must have prior written approval of the hosting Area Director and Section Director; all tournaments which involve teams from more than one Section or non-AYSO teams must have prior written approval of the hosting Area Director, Section Director and the National Director of Tournaments.
