AYSO Becomes Soccer Partner to Responsible Sports Program

AYSO today announced a new partnership with Liberty Mutual Insurance, one of the leading insurance companies in the United States. The sponsorship agreement centers around AYSO becoming the soccer partner to Liberty Mutual's Responsible Sports™ program, an online community that celebrates and promotes responsible youth coaching and sports parenting.

The agreement includes the designation of Liberty Mutual as the official auto, home and life insurance company partner of AYSO.

“We share the values associated with Responsible Sports and look forward to a long and productive partnership with Liberty Mutual in positively affecting the landscape of youth soccer in our country," said Tom Tobin, AYSO National Executive Director.

Central to the Responsible Sports program are Community Grants, which are awarded to 20 youth sports organizations across the country per year. Organizations achieving the highest level of community participation in the online Responsible Coaching or Responsible Sport Parenting courses in their respective divisions will earn a $2,500 grant to help defray the cost of training, new equipment and facility maintenance.

“Community embodiment of sportsmanship and personal responsibility is essential to provide an enriching youth sports environment,” said Julie Brassard, Liberty Mutual Director of Sponsorships. “There are countless untold examples of responsible coaching and positive community support of their young athletes, and through the Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports program we will shine the light on many uplifting stories.”
