Remember To Code NAP Checks & Deposits
It is important to code all deposits and checks written to their proper NAP account. AYSO is required to provide federal, state and local authorities certain financial information in order to retain our tax-free status. As we are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation, all the Regions, Areas and Sections fall under the corporate umbrella; in other words, we are all one entity using the same Federal Tax ID number. Because we are all one single entity, all deposits and checks written need to be coded to a specific account listed in the NAP chart of accounts to satisfy financial reporting requirements. Failure to account for unreported or uncoded deposits and expenses endangers the tax free status of AYSO.
Find the monthly deposit form in the resources section of AYSO.org. Since most banks do not send copies of deposit receipts to NSTC, the forms provide a crucial conduit for the NAP accountants to code the Region's deposits when entering the financial data into the system. If you have any questions, please contact the Finance Department at AYSO.
